If VT can beat CC and UVA there seems to be a chance. They will finish with a 3-5 ACC record, which may keep them 5th in the ACC standings.

Then it comes down to what ND and Louisville do the remainder of the season. One of the two will most likely finish with a 3-5 ACC record, if not better. If this scenario plays out who do we root for?

VT lost to Louisville, but beat ND. My first thought is pull for ND, I know this is hard, because we take them head to head. But then I think ND will have a higher RPI and the tournament selection committee will prefer ND over VT. If we tie with Louisville they have the head to head in their favor. And it seems like this give them the nod.

Hopefully, VT wins all three and takes any guessing out of the selection process. Nothing is guaranteed, but VT should beat CC. The Duke game will be tough. I see the UVA a toss up right now.
